Incubators and Accelerators

The numerous programs offered by Montréal incubators and accelerators help you to define your business model and establish strategic partnerships, while building links to a tightly knit community.

If accelerators offer structured programs of just a few months, incubators accompany entrepreneurs over a longer period of time (usually one or two years). This type of support is aimed at a specific audience; pay attention to the selection criteria! Don’t hesitate to develop connections within accelerators or incubators a few weeks or even months before submitting an application. This will give you a maximum chance of being selected when you choose to apply.

Corporate Programs

Large companies are more and more present in the startup ecosystem. How would a large organization benefit from doing business with startups? The reasons to do so are multiple: to exploit new technologies, work on research and development projects at lower costs or acquire the agility of a startup on a specific project. For startups, this is an opportunity to build business partnerships that can evolve into important investments or loyal customers.

Corporate programs can take several forms: calls for applications, open innovation, accelerator or incubator, laboratories, etc. These programs are places of exploration between big companies and startups. In Montreal, there are about fifteen corporate programs aimed at startups and several events such as QI_Connexion, Formathon or Coopérathon are organized punctually to facilitate collaborations.
